Boston Harley-Davidson and Seacoast Harley-Davidson are home to the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy! We have opportunities for future riders, experienced enthusiasts, and everything in between. Our coaches have over 100 years of combined coaching experience. We are very proud to say that our new rider course has a 98 percent passing rate.

For the third year in a row, our dealerships have been recognized with the Gold and the Silver Bar and Shield Circle of Excellence Awards by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. We don’t mess around. We’ve won the award 25 times in our 30 plus years of business. Our team is proud and it shows.

History
- 1988: John McGonagle purchased Seacoast Harley-Davidson.
- 1991: Seacoast Harley-Davidson moved to 177 Lafayette Road in North Hampton.
- 1992: The New England Police Vehicle Leasing, Inc. was established.
- 1995: Received the H-D Motor Co. Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 1996: Received the H-D Motor Co. Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 1998: Received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award and voted one of the “Best Small Co. to Work For in NH” by Business NH Magazine.
- 1999: Received the H-D Motor Co. Bronze Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award and voted one of the “Best Small Co. to Work For in NH” by Business NH Magazine.
- 2000: Received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award and voted one of the “Best Small Co. to Work For in NH” by Business NH Magazine
- 2001: Seacoast Harley-Davidson moved into its current custom facility at 17 Lafayette Road. Received the H-D Motor Co. Bronze Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award and voted one of the “Best Small Co. to Work For in NH” by Business NH Magazine.
- 2002: Received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award, received Police Sales & Service Dealer of the Year Award – Eastern Region, and voted one of “Best Small Co. to Work For in NH” by Business NH Magazine.
- 2003: Shawn Lillie joined the team as CFO. Received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 2004: Al Contois joined the team as General Manager. We were voted “Best Small Co. to Work For in NH” by Business NH Magazine. Received the H-D Motor Co. Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 2005: Won Parts & Accessories Retailer of the Year- Northeast Region.
- 2006: Received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence award, the Police Sales & Service Dealer of the Year Award – Eastern Region and the H-D Financial Services President Award.
- 2007: Seacoast Motorcycles Inc. opened a second location, the Harley-Davidson Shop of Rochester on Route 11 in Rochester, NH. Seacoast Motorcycles Inc. won Harley-Davidson’s prestigious Promoter of the Year and we were also H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield award winners.
- 2008: Seacoast Motorcycles Inc. received the H-D Financial Services Chairman Award and the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 2009: Seacoast Motorcycles Inc. received the Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award, the H-D Financial Services Chairman Award, and the H-D Motor Co. Bronze Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award. The Harley-Davidson Riding Academy program launched at Seacoast Harley-Davidson.
- 2010: Seacoast Motorcycles Inc. received the H-D Financial Services Chairman Award and the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 2011: Seacoast Motorcycles Inc. purchased Boston Harley-Davidson in Everett, MA. Received the H-D Financial Services Chairman Award, and the H-D Financial Services President Award for Boston Harley-Davidson.
- 2012: Al Contois elected into the H-D Dealer Advisory Council (3 year term).
- 2013: Seacoast Harley-Davidson named an H-D Insurance Top Performing Dealer. Seacoast Harley-Davidson and the Harley Davidson Shop of Rochester received the H-D Motor Co. Bronze Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award. Project Live Wire came to Boston Harley-Davidson.
- 2014: Al Contois and Shawn Lillie completed their buy out of Seacoast Motorcycles Inc. Boston Harley-Davidson moved to its current home in Revere, MA. Seacoast Harley-Davidson and the Harley-Davidson Shop of Rochester received the H-D Motor Co. Bronze Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 2015: Boston Harley-Davidson launched the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy. Seacoast Harley-Davidson and the Harley-Davidson Shop of Rochester received the H-D Motor Co. Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award. Boston Harley-Davidson received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 2016: Seacoast Harley-Davidson and the Harley-Davidson Shop of Rochester received the H-D Motor Co. Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award. Boston Harley-Davidson received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
- 2017: Seacoast Motorcycle Inc. purchased Twin States Harley-Davidson, formerly known as Granite State Harley-Davidson, in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Seacoast Harley-Davidson launched the one and only motorcycle technician program in the North East in partnership with Great Bay Community College. Seacoast Harley-Davidson and the Harley-Davidson Shop of Rochester received the H-D Motor Co. Gold Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award. Boston Harley-Davidson received the H-D Motor Co. Silver Bar & Shield Circle of Excellence Award.
